Buzzword Bingo 6: Freaking Flying Cars

July 28th, 2009

The browser wars are back! George Lucas isn’t writing their fate this time. If so, Internet Explorer would be Firefox’s father. No, the heavyweights are weighing in on the latest generation of the web. The browser is the key to current cloud applications (and possibly desktop applications in the future). There is as much for the winner to gain this round as there was back in the 90’s when Microsoft and Netscape went head-to-head. In this week’s Buzzword Bingo, we survey the current browser landscape with returning guest, Corey Moomey (@camdogthetwelve) and a new guest, Andy Waschick (@Gestalt). Andy is the owner and founder of Gestalt, Inc. As always, we also cover recent stories in our Net-Net News segment, Rants and the Call-To-Action.

Buzzword Bingo 5: Violate My Inbox

July 13th, 2009

There are plenty of enterprise collaboration applications to choose from. Wikis, blogs and forums are all the rage, but are they really better than email? This week on Buzzword Bingo, Jason and Mike talk enterprise collaboration tools with Michael Popovich and Jeremy Laurenson. Michael is a Consulting Systems Engineer with Cisco. Jeremy is a Technology Solutions Architect with Cisco. Together they provide some great insight on the usefulness of enterprise collaboration tools and their impact on end-user productivity.

(Sorry, but I messed up the chapters in this episode. They’ll be back next time. But now, if you subscribe to the video podcast in iTunes, there are chapters in that version.)
